Who we are
As a business incubator, the gate is the first address for tech-startups and is located within the research campus in Garching / Munich. Around 50 resident startups particularly appreciate the flexibly expandable office spaces near the University.
What we offer
On their way to success, the founders consult gate’s own founder coach and are supported by workshops as well as by the exchange with other startups while having lunch in the gate-kitchen.
Who we are looking for
Founder teams with a scalable technical innovation, especially in the fields of CleanTech, Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0, MedTech, IT, Augmented Reality or Robotics hit the spot.
Office Spaces – room for scaling your ideas
At the startups’ disposal are offices from 20 up to more than 100 sqm. Before you move in, we will find the optimate rooms together with you.
Depending on the team’s development, the space can be expanded or reduced accordingly lateron.
Whether with a cosy lounge chair or a phone box, a virtual-reality-department or a workout corner – every start-up may configure their rooms according to their individual needs.

Every floor has two kitchenettes with a fridge.

A locked air-conditioned server room is available on demand.

gate start-ups are integrated in marketing activities via web site, social media channels and the in-house magazine.

Founder coaching, regular events for networking and further training are inclusive.
Catering
The gate kitchen offers snacks, coffee and tasty lunch as well as catering for internal events.

gate-startups have rooms in three different sizes at their disposal for professional meetings. Visitors may use the free parking lot directly in front of the building.
External guests may book our conference rooms according to our pricing conditions.

gate Coach – the relentless talk with the expert
Andreas Preen has been the gate founder coach since 2013. He advises startups on the development of their buiness model, establishment of an efficient company strategy, installation of suitable company structures and processes, the organization of controlling structures and, beyond all, a on a marketing and sales strategy with the corresponding measurement plan.
He is an experienced entrepreneur himself, director and advisor, and he has eperienced the process of founding with all ups and downs several times. Many a start-up owes to him the operative strategy watershed thanks to his pitiless analyses.

Develop your leadership skills by leadership coaching
By means of leadership coaching Lisa Hyna supports founders in mastering their role as a leader.
The objective: to develop a strong and self-confident leading peronality, who is to lead a young enterprise to growth and success.
Based on her diploma from the three times scientifically validated St.Galler Coaching Modell®, Lisa Hyna puts coaching emphasis on the personality level.
In order to do so, she combines her expert knowledge in the field of business management (M.A.) with her long lasting project management experience. Being an educated movement teacher in addition, she has brought her skills to perfection creating trustful rooms for advancement as well as imparting knowledge and guidelines.

The gate community lives on external exchange.
Social events, the kitchenttes used in common as well as gate-kitchen provide time and and place for a small and sometimes even deep talk.

Campus Garching – in the middle of the inspiring university environment
With over 7,500 employees and about 17,500 students, the research campus Garching in the north of Munich is one of the biggest centers for science, research and education in Germany. Here you can find a unique concentration of natural-scientific and technical research institutions:
