Numerical Physics

Numeric systems GmbH develop simulation software based on our proprietary technologies focusing on the application of modern GPU processors. These are massive parallel processors consisting of more than 5000 cores, natively used for graphics rendering. GPUs have limited capabilities, but can handle information much faster than CPUs.

pacefish® is their GPU-accelerated powerful software tool for simulation of physical fluid flows (CFD, Computational Fluid Dynamics). With GPUs, pacefish® achieves much higher performance compared to CPUs, massively reducing the cost of CFD.

HOW HAS THE GATE SUPPORTED YOUR STARTUP?

The gate Garching was the ideal base for us in our early years. The easy access to office space at fair rental conditions – plus discounted electricity and internet – helped us keep our running costs low.
What I valued most were the many on-site offers: from workshops and founder coaching to networking events. They gave us the support we needed to tackle key topics as a young tech company.

The exchange with other founders and their teams was inspiring. And being located on the TUM research campus made it much easier to access top student talent and the campus infrastructure. Looking back on our five years at the gate Garching, I’m deeply grateful for the experience.
