The gate-Startup QTAS develops next-generation quantum sensing technologies for liquid biopsies, enabling ultra-sensitive detection and characterization of biomarkers and rare cells in blood and cerebrospinal fluid. The focus of QTAS lies on enabling highly sensitive downstream analyses such as single-cell sequencing and molecular profiling, particularly for neuro-oncological applications.

The MedTech startup was founded in 2025 by Robin Allert, Karl Briegel, Nick von Grafenstein, an interdisciplinary team with backgrounds in quantum sensing, biomedical engineering, and translational cancer research.
