VORTEX’s aim is to enable logistics for the middle mile by means of vertical take-off VTOL drones. To do this, the gate startup is developing a hydrogen-powered VTOL long-range drone for payloads of 50 kg with a high storage capacity of up to 1000 L, which can operate ranges of up to 500 km with a full payload. Design and operation are built to SORA’s SAIL III level to achieve an operating license with low regulatory requirements.
